Meanwhile, Wanda explored her creative talents through theater arts, mastering the craft of playwriting, directing, and stage design. Their paths converged through their shared values and love for storytelling, leading to a partnership that enriched their personal and professional lives. In their retirement, Richard and Wanda have channeled their varied experiences and passions, creating books that reflect their faith, love for history, and belief in the importance of moral integrity. Richard Oberdorfer

Richard’s passion for storytelling was instilled in him by his mother, who encouraged a love for reading and history from an early age. Growing up, Richard immersed himself in historical adventures, particularly the novels of Rafael Sabatini, which fueled his imagination and shaped his understanding of heroism and moral integrity. This foundation laid the groundwork for his teaching career, where he used storytelling to engage students and convey complex ideas. In his retirement, Richard continued pursuing his passion, writing stories that reflect his unwavering commitment to faith and moral values. His work is characterized by a deep respect for history, a belief in the importance of heroes, and a desire to inspire others to live with integrity and purpose.

Wanda Oberdorfer

Wanda’s life has been a tapestry of artistic exploration and creative expression. As a child, she found solace in books, music, and the performing arts, often losing herself in the stories she read and the characters she imagined. Her love of the arts led her to a career in theater, where she excelled as a director and playwright, bringing stories to life on stage. Wanda’s experiences in theater have greatly influenced her approach to writing and editing allowing her to craft visually and emotionally engaging narratives. In addition to her work in theater, Wanda deeply appreciates visual arts, often incorporating her love of painting and illustration into Richard’s stories. Now, alongside Richard, she continues to explore new creative avenues, bringing her unique perspective to their collaborative storytelling efforts.
